Doug leads Molten's alternative energy practice. Molten works with the management of emerging and mature cleantech companies, often through their venture capitalists or corporate investors, to help them build the organisational capability to execute their business plans. Molten combines an understanding of the cleantech commericalisation challenges with broad industry experience to identify and fill operational gaps.
Doug’s career has revolved around the automotive, conventional and alternative energy sectors with a wide range of companies in Europe, Asia and North America. In addition to building a Sino-Canadian cleantech joint venture in Beijing, Doug has completed projects in fuel cells, solar, CHP, LNG, hydrogen, HCNG, biofuel, landfill gas, wastewater treatment, desalination, and CSM.
Doug holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Mechanical Engineering) from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada and a Masters of Business Administration from INSEAD. He is also a Professional Engineer (Canada).
