Molten Employee Profile
Sophie Boiron

A French national, now living in Hong Kong, I was previously based in our London office where I joined Molten as one of its first employees in 2004 from KPMG. I specialise in Communications & Engagement, and have successfully managed large programmes for prestigious client organisations mostly in the telecoms and energy sectors.

After 7 years working for large international consulting firms, I felt that I wanted the challenge of a smaller, more dynamic and entrepreneurial organisation. I was recently in charge of the internal communications workstream of a significant transformational change programme for one of the world's leading telecommunications companies.

Molten has consistently exceeded my expectations - the people I'm working with are driven, the environment is stimulating and I particularly value Molten's sense of integrity and management style.

Doug Chambers

Doug leads Molten's alternative energy practice. Molten works with the management of emerging and mature cleantech companies, often through their venture capitalists or corporate investors, to help them build the organisational capability to execute their business plans. Molten combines an understanding of the cleantech commericalisation challenges with broad industry experience to identify and fill operational gaps.

Doug’s career has revolved around the automotive, conventional and alternative energy sectors with a wide range of companies in Europe, Asia and North America. In addition to building a Sino-Canadian cleantech joint venture in Beijing, Doug has completed projects in fuel cells, solar, CHP, LNG, hydrogen, HCNG, biofuel, landfill gas, wastewater treatment, desalination, and CSM.

Doug holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Mechanical Engineering) from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada and a Masters of Business Administration from INSEAD. He is also a Professional Engineer (Canada).

Rob Thomas

I joined Molten's Financial Services practice in November 2006 from Deloitte, where I specialised in the development and embedding of Operational Risk Management frameworks in the banking sector.

Joining a smaller consultancy has enabled me to develop new propositions around my expertise, and provided me with added responsibility for business development and general business growth, which I have embraced. The management style also encourages employees to push themselves by providing the framework for entrepreneurial thinking and new and innovative ways of going to market.

I feel constantly challenged, and enjoy working with such a diverse team of driven and energetic people whose variety of skill-sets give me confidence that the business can grow from strength to strength in any market.
