Arabian peninsula NOC strategy development and organisational capability upgrade: Molten worked with the Board to develop the company’s 5-year strategy and objectives and the capabilities needed to achieve it, identified gaps in the existing organisation (structure and capabilities), and developed phased plans to fill the gaps and help the company meet its substantial growth targets. Led to a new strategy, new organisational structure and growth of more than 400% in the 12-months after the recommendations were approved by the Board.
Russian NOC reservoir simulation performance improvement: The client wanted to understand how well their reservoir modelling and simulation organisation, processes and analytical tools were serving their business objectives. Molten developed an assessment scorecard framework and applied it to achieve detailed analysis of their organisational set-up, capabilities, processes and technology set. The project provided significant insights into what was working well and major opportunities for improvement, with supporting recommendations and business cases for each. Molten is now helping the client to deliver these opportunities.
Supermajor Upstream data management strategy and operating model: Molten reviewed and advised on the data management strategy and operating model. We then led implementation of three new strategic priority areas of the operating model – data governance, performance management and development of a data management professional discipline.
Russian IOC performance improvement programme for research and development centre: Molten identified the technical capabilities which brought highest value to the Company and developed a product portfolio aligned with its strategic objectives. In support, Molten delivered performance management tools and processes, ensuring operational alignment between the central business leadership and technology management.
Supermajor Upstream major projects processes and tools rationalisation: Molten supported the client’s move to standardised project management processes and tools. This improved corporate governance provided the project teams with common processes and standard tools to for best practice and one best method of delivery.
Mid-cap independent oil company competent person report for valuation and fund raising: Molten wrote a competent persons report to support successful fund raising on AIM for appraisal drilling. The report included a geological and commercial review of the relevant assets, and a forward plan on development potential and valuation.
Large independent North Sea asset integration: Molten oversaw the communications and engagement processes to support the smooth integration of assets and people following an acquisition from a supermajor in the Southern North Sea. The integration was completed ahead of schedule with a zero loss of headcount.
